  2. You will find a Class Announcement titled “Networking and Cyberecurity 1-2H Final Exam Study Guide“. Attached, you will find a copy of the Final Exam that you may use to review.
  3. The Final Exam will take place on Friday, May 19th.
  4. This will be an “open resource” exam, meaning you will be able to use any materials accessible on your computer. This includes any websites, past assignments, completed projects, installed applications, or notes you may have taken.
  5. You may not, however, collaborate with your classmates; You will be asked to please remain silent until everyone has completed the exam.
  6. The exam contains one hundred multiple-choice questions. Please carefully read all instructions and select the best answer from the available choices for each question.
  7. Be advised that you will only have forty-five minutes to complete the test, so looking up each answer individually would be inadvisable. You must submit your test answers before the end of the class period at 2:01pm.
  8. Study, be prepared, and do your best on Friday’s Final Exam!

ITF Certification Practice Exam A.4 Review – TestOut

Objective: 

Review TestOut Courseware report data to help determine gaps in student knowledge to direct targeted review of course material in preparation for the CompTIA ITF Certification Exam.

Assignment:

  1. Using the Exam Report you printed yesterday, take a highlighter pen and highlight any and all Objective areas in which you scored less than 80% proficiency.
  2. Log into the TestOut Courseware site, and go to the A.1.1 CompTIA Exam Objectives section.
  3. For each of the Objective areas that you scored below 80%, use the Table 1: CompTIA Fundamentals Certification Exam Objectives (FCO-U61) to identify the specific chapter that you need to study to review for that objective.
    1. For example, if you scored low on Objective 1.2, Compare and contrast fundamental data types and their characteristics, you would review Chapter 3.4, Programming Terms and Concepts.
  4. Once you are confident in your understanding of the material in the reviewed Chapter, check it off your Exam Report and move on to the next highlighted chapter.
  5. We will continue this cycle of directed study and retesting throughout next week, with the goal of achieving 80% or higher on our next attempt at the A.4 ITF Certification Practice Exam.

ITF Certification Practice Exam A.4 Retake – TestOut

Objective: 

Retake the comprehensive practice exam to collect data that will help determine gaps in student knowledge in preparation for the CompTIA ITF Certification Exam.

This practice exam:

  • Has 75 questions
  • Is randomly generated
  • Has no time limit
  • Has a percentage score at the end of the session
  • Recommends a 95% passing score.

Assignment:

  1. Access the TestOut Courseware through the provided link.
  2. Take the 75 question A.4 practice test. Your goal is to achieve a better score than you did on your last attempt.
  3. After you finish, you will be presented with the exam report, detailing which questions you got wrong, what the correct answers are, and what objectives you were presented with and how you performed demonstrating knowledge of these objective areas. Please print this report.
  4. Keep this exam report handy, as we will be working with it tomorrow.

KANKETSUHEN! Networking and Operating Systems Final Exam Review 2019

  1. Click the https://connect.mheducation.com link, log in and look for the “KANKETSUHEN! – Final Exam Review 2019” Study Guide.
  2. The Study Guide consists of 342 questions, drawn from the Chapter 1 through 6 quizzes we took this year, plus the Cybersecurity topics we covered in the second semester.
  3. The final exam will consist of 100 multiple choice questions drawn directly from this pool of 342 questions.
  4. Use the study guide to refresh your memory on the Hardware and Software topics we covered in the first semester, and to familiarize yourself with the specific topics you may be asked about from the second semester.
  5. You may print portions of the study guide, but do not print the entire guide, as it will total over 100 printed pages.
  6. The Study Guide will close itself and be unavailable at midnight on Thursday, May 16th.
  7. All late assignments are due by end of day on Thursday, May 16th, and no late assignments will be accepted after this date.
  8. The final exam will take place during the regular class period on Friday, May 17th. Use the time up until this Friday to prepare yourself for the final exam, which will comprise 10% of your final grade, as specified in the Networking and Operating Systems Plan for Success.
